Hotel Relais Saint Sulpice – Charming 4 Star Hotel – Paris

Located in an 18th century hotel particulier, the Relais Saint-Sulpice offers a sanctuary, a timelessness experience, in the heart of historical Paris, in communion with the Saint-Sulpice Church. This voyage in time opens all sense toward reverie, creativity and wellbeing.

The front desk is a black lacquered desk that dates back from the 1930’s. On a more practical side, the front desk is open 24/7 and the staff is always ready to help you. The hotel also has available a meeting room, an ideal place to organize meetings, seminars or reunions in the very heart of the 6th district of Paris. Our hotel is not only in the center of historical Paris, it is also surrounded by publishing houses, art galleries and fashion stores. It is part of the Saint Germain experience!

Midnight in Paris A secret garden in the heart of Creative Paris

The collusion of styles, periods and characters takes our guests in a singular, personal and confidential realm.

Objects and furniture from the Empire and Art Nouveau’s periods mingle with African art, engravings from Roberts, lithographies from De Rougemont edited by Galerie Maeght, a marvelous Japanese Garden by Zuber, offering an environment to reenergize and blossom in the Paris of publishing and high fashion.

The Philosophy HotelsT by F.T.

HotelsT is a family owned business of four hotels in Paris, one hotel in Sienna and now in Bordeaux. Our concept is based on a unique balance between design and boutique hotel. We offer a familial and creative feeling in refined interiors where every single detail is thoughtfully conceived. Old stone walls, wood floors, intimate salons with fireplaces, diverse and rich artwork combined with a modern setting; these are just some of the attributes to describe the warm and inviting atmosphere of our hotels. Our hotels display a wide range of extraordinary objects and art pieces from all around the world. The hotels’ collection is constantly replenished with a modern twist.

Our philosophy is to offer a personalized experiencean intellectual journey and a call to each one’s curiosity with an exceptional accommodation and service. We want to make our guests feel like they are home while they fully experience Paris, Sienna or Bordeaux. The hotelsT happily organize theme packages on demand as well as full assistance right from the airport.

Their unique character coupled with their exceptional location in the heart of the historical Paris (Saint- Germain des Pres and the 8th district) in the heart of the old city of Sienna and now Bordeaux, make the HotelsT the perfect getaway that our guests will remember and share with their family and friends.

This hotel was built in the 18th century and was the private home of Mr. Francisque-Gay, a man of great moral standing and courage. He was a publisher and during World War II his publishing house was at the very center of the resistance against the Nazis. Mr. Francisque-Gay was a close acquaintance of General de Gaulle, a politician and an Ambassador to Canada. His house is now a hotel with 26 rooms on three floors with an elevator.

As you cross the threshold of the Relais Saint Sulpice you will discover: • Collections of curios, artifacts and objects from Africa; • A 18th century ceramic wood burning stove that originates from Lorraine in Eastern France and was converted to electricity by Mr. Spatara, a master craftsman from Alsace; • A harmonious mix of objects and furniture from the Empire and Art Nouveau eras (including the reprinting of a Viennese fabric by Joseph Hoffmann); • Lithographs by De Rougemont, and published by Gallery Maeght, and engravings by Roberts from an earlier time; • A “Japanese Garden” hand printed by Zuber – the wallpaper and fabrics manufacturer established in 1797 and whose collection of traditional sculpted woodblocks have been classified as ‘an historical monument’. One can also find such scenic wallpaper by Zuber in the Ambassador’s Room at the White House in Washington D.C. • And there is more to discover !

“Our favorite bijou in Paris”

This is the second time we come back, and it’s still as lovely as the last time 4 years ago.

The rooms are of good sizes considering the location in Paris. Not many staff but always friendly ones and ready to give good addresses for restaurants around.

The courtyard is of course the highlight of the hotel, you would feel like sleeping in a botanic garden and the location is very convenient.

Good breakfast is always a must!

I always recommend this hotel to friends staying in Paris.

“Small and Wonderful”

This is a small hotel in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. Easy walking to wonderful restaurants, shops, and museums. We loved the size of the hotel — small enough to be quaint and charming, but large enough to be comfortable. Our room was quiet and lovely, overlooking the central courtyard. The bathroom had a tub, which was great for soaking our weary bodies after a day of sightseeing. It is directly behind the St. Sulpice church (read The Davinci Code!) which is in great need of restoration but interesting nevertheless. The manager on duty during our 3-night stay was Emmanuel, and he could not have been more knowledgable and helpful. His restaurant recommendations were perfect, and he was more than happy to make reservations for our group of 6. We really appreciated his attention, good humor, and efficiency.

We’d definitely go back to this little gem.

“Hotel that Felt like a Luxury Private Home”

The location of the hotel is excellent near St Germain. Though the rooms are not huge, the furniture is well placed with all amenities and stylish decor.

The real charm of the hotel lay in the public areas– a drawing room bar area to read, chat or have cocktails, and the breakfast room downstairs which has a garden like feel to it because of the skylight. The only suggestions I could make would be that an in-room coffee pot or tea service would have been nice, and the hot breakfast foods would be best if kept on a warmer. The staff were excellent, with great suggestions on what to see and do and extremely cordial. This is definitely a hotel to which I will return.
